Gospel minister and businessman Sonnie Badu has responded to hiplife artiste now turned pastor, Yaw Siki’s refusal to accept his offer.

He responded to him through a post on his Instagram page. In the post, Sonnie explains why he made up his mind to help him adding that he has taken his response in good faith.

Furthermore, he together with his team wish Yaw Siki the best of luck in his endeavors.

About a month ago, in an interview with Joy News, Yaw Siki recounted how life had been difficult for him since he turned a new leaf. According to him, he lives on monies given to him by people he preaches to.

As  a man of God and as the Bible admonishes Christians to be of help to others in times of need, Sonnie Badu through a post on his Instagram page offered to help him (Yaw Siki) financially but in an interview with Showbiz, Yaw refused to accept Sonnie’s good gesture.

His reason was that, he made it public.

It has been drawn to our attention that the young man Yaw Siki has rejected our help based on the following reasons: 1. Because I made it public. 2. Because I want fame from him … Lol I will not answer the second one. I would think at least he would have been thankful to us for speaking about his situation since it had generated a lot of intrest. However, to answer his first accusation, the only reason we put it out on Instagram and social media was, We discovered him on social media from an interview he granted in the first place . If he feels he did not need help he should not have granted the interview. No normal person would watch that and not want to help. Having said this , what ever was allocated for him has gone into other charitable projects… We wish him well in all his endeavors … It’s still a great thing to serve the Lord so it’s a good decision and step he took since there is nothing in the secular world. We were actually interested in reviving his music in the gospel world as well since I was told he only has one single out…

Yaw Siki Said We Questioned Him As If He Was Applying For A Loan – Sonnie Badu Laments Bitterly

Ghanaian UK based gospel artiste, Sonnie Badu has lamented bitterly about the reaction of converted secular artiste, Yaw Siki who now preaches the word of God to his offer of assistance.

Recently, the plight of Yaw Siki was made known to the world in an interview with JoyNews where the former hiplife artiste indicated that life has not been easy for him since he decided to preach the word after his accident. He said he survives on the little money he makes from his daily evangelism and uses same to purchase medications for his recovery.

This interview touched the heart of worshipper, Sonnie Badu who offered to assist the young man. However Yaw Siki turned down the offer because according to him, Sonnie Badu made the offer publicly which is against the word of God.

However, it looks like there is more to the issue as Sonnie Badu in an Instagram post yesterday, indicated that his PR contacted Yaw over his comment and he said he felt offended by the questions they (Sonnie’s PR) asked him when they contacted him. According to him, they made him feel like he was applying for a loan.

“I AM ACTUALLY GETTING A BIT WORKED OUT BY THIS. THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS THE YOUNG MAN STARTED GETTING OFFENDED WHEN MY PR STARTED ASKING HIM QUESTIONS TO GET TO KNOW HIM. LIKE WHO HIS SPIRITUAL FATHER IS, WOULD HE LIKE TO GO TO ANY BIBLE SCHOOL ? WHAT CHURCH DOES HE BELONG TO, NOW THESE ARE STANDARD QUESTIONS WE NORMALLY ASK BECAUSE WE BELIEVE THAT EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE A CALLING YOU HAVE TO BE DIRECTED. AFTER MY PR SPOKE TO HIM HE DID SAY HE WOULD GET BACK TO US. ONLY FOR US TO HEAR IT ON THE RADIO, WHEN HE WAS ASKED BY MY PR AGAIN WHY HE SAID THAT ON RADIO HE ANSWERED AND SAID HE FELT THE QUESTIONS WHERE AS THOUGH HE WAS APPLYING FOR A LOAN .. NOW I LOVE THE YOUTHFUL SEAL BUT BEING IN MINISTRY FOR MANY YEARS YOU WILL GET TO THE POINT WHERE THOSE WHO PRETEND TO LEAD YOU ON WILL LEAVE YOU BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOW BECOME A BURDEN ON THEM … NOW I OFFICIALLY CLOSE THIS CHAPTER AND FOCUS ON MORE ORPHANS AND WIDOWS AS WE HAVE BEEN DOING ALREADY ..
